Luther as an Anti-Hero

John Luther has a questionable personality and is an antagonist of the good-cop like horatio from CSI:Miami. This is because he stays in communication with Alice (who he knows is a murderer) and even seems to become friendly with her. Luther even broke in to Alice's house, which is a crime in itself. Also, he sometimes puts his wife before his job and allows his emotions to get the best of him. This is shown through his potential suicide tenedncies such as jumping from the edge of a building. There are a few refferences to the devil, for example when Luther tells a journalist that he remembers her telephone number as 666. Additionally, he lies about evidence and in episode 2, he uses Owen's weaknesses about his childhood to get him to admit things.
